Medical cannabis physician Alyn L. Benezette, DO, knows the importance of individualized patient treatment plans and open communication in the healthcare field. He is the clinical director and founding partner of Coastal Cannabis Clinics in Ormond Beach and DeLand, Florida. He received his Doctorate of Osteopathy from Michigan State University in 1981. He then went on to complete his internship at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Following that, he undertook his residency and fellowship at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Benezette became a certified cannabis physician in May of 2017. He is a board-certified, licensed neurologist, as well as a pain management and balance disorder physician.
He also served in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps in the United States and Japan, and continues to serve the United States Naval Academy.
Dr. Benezette has years of experience evaluating and managing the broad scope of acute, chronic, and complex problems related to injured workers, and has worked alongside members of the Florida Department of Labor/Workmen's Compensation, as well as state employees of Florida and New York.
He also evaluates and treats personal injury cases from both plaintiff and defendant perspectives.
